Pearl River Central QB Titus Feaster is learning to take on leadership role

Titus Feaster Ready to Lead Pearl River Central Into a New Era

As the 2026 high school football season approaches, expectations continue to rise for Pearl River Central quarterback Titus Feaster. After a breakout sophomore campaign that saw him account for more than 30 touchdowns, Feaster enters his junior season with a different mindset.

The numbers were impressive. The highlights were electric. But for Feaster, this offseason has been about becoming more than just a playmaker.

It’s about becoming a leader.

With another year of experience under his belt, Feaster understands that one of the biggest responsibilities of playing quarterback is setting the tone for the entire team. Whether it’s leading offseason workouts, encouraging teammates, or staying late after practice to perfect his craft, Feaster knows the road to success starts with leadership.

“I have to be the guy,” is the mentality many around the program believe Feaster has embraced heading into the season.

Despite his individual success, Pearl River Central often finds itself overlooked in conversations about the top teams in Mississippi. While other programs receive much of the preseason attention, Feaster appears to be using those outside opinions as motivation.

There’s no question the pressure is there.

With expectations growing and critics still questioning whether PRC can compete with the state’s elite programs, Feaster knows every game will be an opportunity to prove people wrong. Instead of shying away from that pressure, he seems determined to embrace it.

The good news for the Blue Devils is that Feaster won’t have to do it alone.

One of his biggest weapons is elite wide receiver Kendall Morrison, a dynamic playmaker capable of turning any catch into a touchdown. The chemistry between Feaster and Morrison has become one of the most dangerous connections in South Mississippi, giving defenses a matchup problem every Friday night.

But while Morrison’s presence certainly helps, those around the program believe Feaster is better equipped than ever to carry the team.

His offseason development has been impossible to ignore. Coaches and teammates have noticed increased confidence, improved decision-making, and a stronger command of the offense. What made him dangerous as a sophomore was his athletic ability. What could make him special as a junior is his growing understanding of the game.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Feaster’s game is his willingness to contribute wherever his team needs him.

Not only does he lead the offense at quarterback, but he also plays on the defensive side of the ball, showcasing a level of toughness and durability that few players possess. In an era where many athletes specialize in one position, Feaster’s ability to impact the game in multiple ways highlights both his versatility and competitive spirit.

That versatility is beginning to catch the attention of college coaches as recruiting interest continues to grow. Programs are taking notice of a player who can throw, run, defend, and lead. More importantly, they’re seeing a young athlete who continues to improve every time he steps on the field.

The statistics from last season were impressive.

The leadership growth this offseason may be even more important.

As Pearl River Central prepares for another challenging season, Feaster understands that individual accolades won’t define his legacy. Winning games, changing perceptions, and helping elevate the Blue Devils program remain at the top of his priority list.

If his sophomore season was his introduction, his junior season could be his arrival.

And if Titus Feaster continues on his current path, Pearl River Central may not stay overlooked for much longer.
